Gangopadhyay Shrinjoy  is an international contemporary artist and writer of Indian origin; He is currently pursuing MFA in Contemporary Art from the Savannah College of Art & Design, Atlanta, USA. Engaged in multidisciplinary dialogues through the language of Paint, Installation art and New Media his practice addresses key human rights issues through the lens of mysticism. Narratives that explore places, people and objects are investigated through reinterpreting perception: why do we perceive as we perceive – science and religion, nature versus human intervention, fact versus fiction, consumer culture & spirituality, excess & basic necessities. Posited in a post 9/11 context the practice examines  mistaken identity, territorialism, the goals of sustainability, the cult of consumption, high and low, expansions & contractions.
